A few weeks ago, InTool took part in the 16th National Congress on Innovation and Public Services (CNIS 2026), held on 25 and 26 February at La Nave (Madrid), a leading national event that brought together more than 1,500 professionals from the public sector, technology companies and innovation leaders. The congress established itself as a key forum for sharing experiences, trends and real-world use cases relating to the digital transformation of the public sector, as well as for fostering institutional collaboration and the exchange of knowledge among organisations committed to innovation.

During the event, InTool had its own stand, which attracted a great deal of interest from attendees. Throughout the event, particularly on the first day and the morning of the second day, numerous professionals involved in public innovation stopped by to learn about our methodology and the capabilities of our platform to support strategic intelligence and innovation processes. This direct contact enabled us to share experiences with representatives from various public administrations and organisations, as well as to explore potential avenues for collaboration aimed at improving knowledge management and decision-making.

In addition, InTool ran the workshop “Basque Government IT (EJIE): Innovation based on monitoring and ideation”, in collaboration with Óscar Guadilla, Head of Innovation at the Basque Government IT Society (EJIE). During the session, attended by around 20 people, it was demonstrated how strategic intelligence and systematic ideation enable information to be transformed into innovative decisions and projects. The workshop showcased EJIE’s experience in applying these methodologies to drive innovation within the public sector.

Participation in CNIS 2026 also helped to identify key trends for the future of public innovation. These include the growing role of artificial intelligence as a driving force for improving and defining new public services, as well as the importance of having structured methodologies in place to facilitate innovation processes within highly complex organisations. Furthermore, the conference highlighted the need to strengthen public-private collaboration and to strategically manage data, information and knowledge as the basis for more effective decision-making.

All of this reinforces InTool’s vision regarding the importance of turning information into actionable knowledge to drive innovation. In a context where artificial intelligence, strategic information management and structured innovation methodologies are gaining prominence, InTool continues to evolve to help public and private organisations transform data and knowledge into innovative decisions and services.
